In the middle of the jungle tonight,
the moon is so beautiful and bright.
I’m on guard on the high tower.
Insects are acting through the night.
Far away, the monkeys’ noises are carried in the wind.

The wind is brushing against the leaves.

I miss your long flowing hair,

your cherished walk in the sunshine,
and your quick steps when the sun starts to hide.

The leaves keep brushing in the air.
My hut is isolated and dull in the middle of the forest.
I miss your pink cheeks.
My wandering soul in your brown eyes I miss.

Yesterday I saw a plant in the jungle,
its yellow and small buds start to blossom.
These tiny flowers are not yet bloomed,
but they’re soft and fresh like you in the morning sun.

Is it true that spring is coming?
On the top of the mountain
and far away from civilization,
I forgot the essence of spring.
I only remember you.
