[b]Cyclone Percy
In the first week of March 2005 Cyclone Percy hit the islands of Fakaofo, Nukunonu and Atafu. A lof of damage has been done. Several people got injured, of which one person seriously. This month Tokelau Magic is dedicated to the pictures of Cyclone Percy and the aftermath.

The pictures show the tremendous power of nature, where people where standing for four feet (1 meter 20) in the water. Most affected was the eastern side of Nukunonu village. The waves got inside the (only) Doctor's accomodation. The sea even came in the churches on the islands. Also the school got seriously damaged. The books of the children are not usable anymore, and simple equipment like air fans are not working.

New Zealand, Australia and the United Nations Development program offered help. We are also asking the Dot TK community for their help. In the entire month of March, the receipts of the Foundation Tokelau are not going to be spend on the Internet Connection on the atolls, but on direct monetary support.

If you want to donate to the Foundation, then please donate your gift, in any currency, in any amount, to the bank account below. All receipts will be send to the island in the first week of April. We thank you for your support.
