![]() You may have a breakout, but you're the only one who has to know. The best way to cover a pimple is to dab concealer right on top of it. Use a cotton swab or a clean cosmetics brush -- touching your face with dirty fingers might be how you got the blemish! Let it dry a bit; then smooth out the sides with a Q-tip or makeup sponge. Don't rub the area -- it will only get more irritated and red. The less makeup you use, the better. You don't want a cakey, obvious look.
Once the concealer is dry, set with loose powder and fluffy brush. Pressed powder (like in a compact) may rub off your flawless cover-up job, plus an old puff tends to contain more bacteria. If you'd like to apply foundation to even out your skin tone, choose a shade with a yellow base (yellow reduces redness), rather than a pink undertone. To prevent pimples in the future, wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser and follow up with toner and moisturizer. Constant use of harsh cleansers (like oil-free acne washes) can irritate aggravated skin even more. Your skin can become dry and stripped, and produce more oils to compensate. And nobody wants that! Be good to your skin and it will be good to you.
